The Sax family have been making Artists colours since 1889. The method of manufacture has changed little and colours are still made in small batches to ensure the highest possible standards.

Recipes include combinations of oils balanced to each pigment for optimum performance. Colours display the individual characteristics of pigments and are a welcome alternative to homogenised ranges.

Four generations of the Blockx family have produced this high quality oil colour.

The finest available pigments are ground in cold pressed linseed or poppy oils. They are carefully and expertly made and offer some of the most beautiful modern colours available.

Blockx oil paint is very popular with customers for its transparent iron oxide colours.

Flake white oil paint (lead/cremnitz white) is available from the Blockx oils range.

Manufactured in Barcelona by a small family business since 1933, MIR are an excellent mid-price range of oil colours that we are very pleased to offer to UK Artists for the first time. The quality of these colours will exceed expectations and appeal to a wide range of artists. In the 60ml tubes there are 88 colours, using modern synthetic organic and traditional pigments.

The range contains cadmium and cobalt pigments plus good alternatives in lower price group.

12 new colours introduced in 2009, including a fantastic magenta and a cyan blue oil paint.
